Various guides on the Internet will recommend you to download the Android SDK manager to get ABDB running on your Mac. On Windows though, it is impossible to execute a fastboot command without installing the drivers first as the PC will not be able to see the device itself. There are quite a few reasons behind this, including the fact that you can issue fastboot and ADB commands to a majority of the Android devices on a Mac without worrying about their drivers. In fact, I now actually prefer to root Android devices on a Mac since it usually involves less headache. It is significantly easier to setup ADB/Fastboot on a Mac when compared to a Windows based PC. The truth, however, is the exact opposite. Create a folder named “Scrcpy” and drag the files in the zip folder into that folder.For some reason, there is a popular belief among the Android community that installing and setting up ADB and Fastboot on a Mac is a very cumbersome process.
Install Scrcpy for MacOS by typing “brew install scrcpy” ( if you don’t have ADB in MacOS already, type in “brew install android-platform-tools” to install ADB.).You can also check here to see in which Linux distros have different installation methods. Install Scrcpy for Linux by typing “apt install scrcpy” on the Terminal.Install Scrcpy for Windows by clicking here.
(For Xiaomi Devices) Enable “USB Debugging (Security settings)” so you can gain full access.Check if the ADB is running properly by simply typing in “adb devices” Install ADB from here if you haven’t done it yet.You need ADB installed on your Windows/Linux/macOS PC, and ADB enabled on your Android device.
